BODYCAM: Nashville Cops Confront, Kill Trans School Shooter Audrey Hale

The Metro Nashville Police Department has released bodycam footage of the two officers who engaged and neutralized the transgender mass shooter that attacked a Christian school in Tennessee on Monday.

“MNPD Officers Rex Engelbert, a 4-year veteran, and Michael Collazo, a 9-year veteran, were part of a team of first responders to the Covenant campus Mon morning,” the department’s official Twitter account posted on Tuesday. “They fired on the active shooter, who was killed. This is their body camera footage.”

Police have identified the deceased shooter as 28-year-old transgender individual Audrey Hale.

In the bodycam footage, officers can be seen clearing the first floor of the school before rushing upstairs after hearing shots on the second floor.

The officers then engage the armed suspect with rifle and pistol fire, resulting in the latter’s death.

The MNPD has released much additional information about the tragedy on Twitter.

Six individuals, including three 9-year-old children, were killed in Monday’s mass homicide at The Covenant School.

Police have revealed that Hale authored a manifesto detailing plans to attack the school, which may be released at a later date.
