‘DELIBERATELY DECEPTIVE’: 1/6 Committee Omits ‘THIS IS ART’ Label From Mini ‘Gallows’ Exhibit

The controversial and unpopular January 6 Commission released a video this week suspiciously omitting the “THIS IS ART” tag from the made-famous 1/6 “gallows” prop in an apparent effort to make it seem like election integrity protestors were going to use the piece of artwork to actually “hang” the Vice President of the United States.

Toward the end of the Committee’s video, January 6 protestors can be heard shouting “hang Mike Pence” as an image of what appears to be “gallows” shows on the screen.

The Committee creddited the image to Tyler Merbler of Flickr, but users online noticed that the image was missing an important feature.

Contrary to the Committee’s narrative in the video, the “gallows” exhibit actually had a big warning sign that read “THIS IS ART.”

The StopHate.com Twitter account revealed that separate images of the January 6 gallows prop featured the art label, leading some to suspect that the Committee had intentionally omitted it from the video.

“This is unquestionably deliberately deceptive and poisoning the jury pool!” StopHate wrote.

The group also noted that the artwork was not positioned on Capitol grounds, as suggested by the Committee’s video.

“The “THIS IS ART.” “Gallows” were not even on Capitol “Grounds” on #J6. Tyler’s pictures couldn’t have been any earlier than 2:36 when the flag (seen in his photo directly proceeding these pictures) reached the scaffolding. Fight censorship & algorithms: like, comment, RT, follow,” StopHate said.

“People who chanted ‘Hang Mike Pence’ likely didn’t even know these small art gallows existed. How early was it set up? Of the 1M+ people there, most didn’t see it – particularly anyone on the Capitol ‘Grounds’,” they added.

Valiant News previously reported that leaked documents originating from the right wing Oath Keepers paramilitary group indicate that over 300 members are “current or former” employees of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The revelation comes as conservatives suspect that undercover federal assets were tasked with embedding themselves within the protesting crowds and encouraging, animating, or outright participating in violence on January 6.
