Trump Takes Lead In MSM Poll Just Before Biden Delivers SOTU

45th President Donald Trump has taken the lead over Joe Biden in a major poll just one night before Joe Biden plans to deliver his State of the Union address in Congress.

The poll from the Washington Post and ABC News shows President Trump with 48 percent support compared to Biden’s 45 percent, indicating a three-point lead.

Additionally, only one percent of survey respondents said they would vote for “someone else,” three percent said they would not vote for either candidate, two percent said they would not vote, and one percent had “no opinion.”

The results of the poll highlight a five-point increase in support for Trump since the legacy media outlets’ most recent survey in September, which showed Biden leading Trump by two points at 48 percent to 46 percent.

The poll surveyed 1,003 American adults from January 27 to February 1 with a margin error of 3.5 percent prior to news that the Chinese government deployed an aerial surveillance device, dubbed a “spy balloon,” which floated across the United States beginning on Thursday and preceded a national media frenzy.

Republicans and conservative pundits have slammed Biden for not shooting down the spy balloon before it was able to make its way across the nation.

The 45th President recently criticized Biden in a similar fashion, noting that if he were still President, he would have ordered that the U.S. armed forces shoot down the balloon before it could complete its journey.

After hovering across most of continental America, Biden ordered that the Chinese spy balloon be shot down over the Atlantic Ocean.

Seemingly in a reaction to the Chinese balloon, Trump on Monday released another 2024 presidential campaign video in which he vowed that, if elected, his second administration will be “hunting down Chinese spies” and will focus on countering Chinese espionage efforts.

“As President, I took the most dramatic action of any administration to curtail China’s ability to conduct espionage in the United States. And when I’m back in the White House, those efforts will be expanded in a very, very big way,” the former president continued.

“Instead of hunting down Republicans, a reformed FBI and Justice Department will be hunting down Chinese spies,” he added.
