‘Controlled Opposition’: Trump Sons Slam DeSantis for Refusal To Fight Father’s Arrest

Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., the 45th President’s eldest sons, have criticized Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for downplaying reports that their father will be arrested on Tuesday.

Leading the potential move to arrest the former president is Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who reportedly received roughly $1 million from globalist liberal billionaire financier George Soros. Since breaking the news, Trump has denied any crime or wrongdoing, and maintained the action is likely politically motivated – potentially based on orders from the Biden White House.

As Trump is a citizen of Florida, some conservatives looked toward DeSantis to push back against what is widely perceived as a political attack against the president.

However, during a statement on Monday, DeSantis signaled that his administration would do nothing to prevent Bragg from arresting the president, and appeared to downplay the development as a “manufactured circus” that doesn’t really matter.

“I have no interest in getting involved in some type of manufactured circus by some Soros DA,” said DeSantis.

“He’s trying to do a political spectacle,” said DeSantis of the Manhattan District Attorney. He then confirmed, “I’ve got real issues I’ve got to deal with here in the state of Florida.” DeSantis reiterated, “We’re not getting involved in it in any way.”

In a reaction to DeSantis’ remarks, Eric Trump suggested that DeSantis would find the issue of political persecution to be of importance if he was the subject of the attacks instead of the former president.

“Until that day where they do the exact same thing to him, his friends and his family… at which time he will neither have the backbone, nor the resources, to fight off the corrupt system. He’s not the guy I [sic] thought he was,” wrote Eric Trump of the Florida Governor.

Coming out strongest against DeSantis’ statement was Trump Jr., who condemned the Florida man’s statement as “pure weakness” and accused the governor of being controlled by former Bush administration advisor Karl Rove, former House Speaker and current Fox News board member Paul Ryan, and a host of billionaire donors.

“So DeSantis thinks that Dems weaponizing the law to indict President Trump is a ‘manufactured circus’ & isn’t a ‘real issue,'” wrote Trump Jr. “Pure weakness. Now we know why he was silent all weekend.”

“He’s totally owned by Karl Rove, Paul Ryan & his billionaire donors. 100% Controlled Opposition,” Trump Jr. added.

Trump himself broke the news that he would arrested on Saturday, and subsequently unleashed a series of Truth Social posts branding the legal fiasco as neverending witch hunt.

“I find it very hard to believe that a racist, Soros backed D.A., who lets murderers, rapists, and drug dealers walk free, and who presided over the biggest violent crime wave in the history of NYC, is using the power of his office to prosecute, indict, and prosecute a former President of the United States of America – for no crime!” He added, “The witch hunt never ends, but we will Make America Great again!’
