FAUCI: ‘We Need To Break’ Will of ‘Republicans,’ Make Them Get Vaxxed

Anthony Fauci declared that the government must “break” the attitude of Republicans who “don’t like being told what to do” about their health.

In a new episode of ‘American Masters,’ set to be broadcast on Tuesday on PBS, documentarians followed Fauci around for two years from January 2021 onwards, when he became Chief Medical Advisor to the President.

Fauci is shown out and about in an African-American neighbourhood in Washington DC in June 2021. Accompanied by Mayor Muriel Bowser, Fauci and others are attempting to persuade the local residents about the efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccine.

At one point, Bowser expresses her frustration to Fauci about “other states” in the country, that may have high vaccine hesistancy rates.

“Oh my God. They’re going to keep the outbreaks smouldering in the country. It’s so crazy,” Fauci responded. “They’re not doing it because they say they don’t want to do it. They’re Republicans. They don’t like to be told what to do.” Fauci claimed that the government therefore needed to “break” that attitude in Republicans, but didn’t elaborate how they would do so.

The release of the documentary follows testimony this month from Robert Redfield, the former CDC Director, who said that the COVID-19 virus was likely to have been “engineered” as part of gain-of-function research conducted at the Chinese Wuhan Institute of Virology.

That same research was funded by grants from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, which Fauci had been the director of since 1984.

In the same documentary, Fauci, Bowser and the film crew came up against one man who was hesitant to take the vaccine, because it had been created in “miraculous time,” instead of the “years” it usually takes.

“If thousands of people like you don’t get vaccinated, you’re going to let this virus continue to percolate in this country,” Bowser told the man, who responded that it sounded just like “the common flu.”

He also expressed doubt to Fauci that the number of people who died from COVID-19 was accurate, and declared that Fauci’s campaign was about “attack[ing] people with fear. That’s what this pandemic is.”
