Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has indicated that she and Rep. Matt Gaetz will soon examine allegations that Joe Biden sexually assaulted a staffer in 1993, when he was a U.S. Senator for the State of Delaware.
In light of reports that 45th President Donald Trump may be arrested by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg over charges stemming from an alleged “hush” payment to adult film professional Stormy Daniels, Biden’s alleged victim asked when her allegations would receive similar attention.
Alleged sexual assault victim Tara Reade asked the Congressional Republicans if Joe Biden, now the 46th President of the United States, would be investigated for allegedly assaulting her while he was in the U.S. Senate.
“So I am not a former porn star nor did I receive ‘hush money’ I was a Senate staffer for Joe Biden when he sexually assaulted me in 1993,” Reade alleged. “To date no investigation, only media attacks and trolls aimed at me. I ask again to @mtgreenee and @mattgaetz When will Joe Biden be investigated? Thanks.”
Replying to Reade’s tweet, Greene thanked the former staffer for telling her story and invited her to Washington D.C.
“Tara, Thank you for bravely speaking out about such a horrible sexual assault you endured by your boss, then Senator Joe Biden, as a young staffer. It’s time to take a stand against the two-tiered injustice system. @RepMattGaetz and I would like to invite you to come to Washington to speak with us. We will be in touch very soon.”
Greene’s tweet, which has since amassed over 1 million views since Monday morning, was subsequently retweeted by Gaetz.
Reade, a registered Democrat and one of numerous women who accused Biden during his 2020 presidential run of “physical contact that made them feel uncomfortable” in 1993, says then-Senator Biden pushed her against the wall, forcibly kissed her and penetrated her with his fingers after putting his hand under her skirt.
“Do you want to go somewhere else?,” Biden allegedly told Reade during the alleged assault.
“His hands went underneath my clothing and he was touching me in my private areas and without my consent,” Reade would later tell NPR.
When Biden’s advances were rejected by Reade, the alleged victim claims, the powerful D.C. politician told her: “Come on, man, I heard you liked me” and “You’re nothing to me, nothing.”
Biden denies the allegation that he sexually assaulted Reade.
